Collaboration and Adventure
This was the first time I had collaborated with my brother on his YouTube channel, Saages Abandoned. Together, we traveled to the ghost town of Shaniko, Oregon, with the goal of exploring, filming, and taking photographs of this unique location.
Experiencing the Ghost Town
Being out in Shaniko enriched my soul in a way that’s hard to describe. There is a special feeling that comes from venturing into open country, where the silence stretches for miles and the remnants of the past linger. The forgotten echoes can be felt in the deserted buildings and empty streets, creating a sense of connection to history.
Discovering Stories and History
Places like Shaniko are filled with stories waiting to be uncovered. Everywhere you look, there is something new to find—weathered wood, abandoned structures, and traces of lives that once flourished here. It’s a powerful reminder of how much history is still out there, waiting to be discovered.
